During a cruise through the Parque Nacional de los Glaciares I saw several enormous icebergs where the combination of the light and the sun was almost blinding. On route to O´Neill lake we passed along the face of a glacier where I could see the ice calving into the ocean, a spectacular sight that left me open mouthed.

After many hours travelling by boat we found ourselves in this spectacular space. The captain of the boat then turned off the engines to allow those on deck to appreciate the overwhelming silence in this wonderful spot. The O´Nelli lake is located within the Glacier Park near Calafate.

My Patogonia adventure would finish in Usuhaia and. in order to arrive there I used a combination of car and hiking. For the entire voyage the sky was splendid shade of clear blue. I had the jagged mountains of the Andes to both my right and my left depending on where I was in the national park and I spent many hours in what seemed to be the middle of nowhere.

After driving for many hours in the Perito Moreno N.P. we stopped at the top of a hill to admire the valley below where we were going to spend the night. The enormity of the view took my breath away. Unparalleled beauty amid deafening silence where the red roofs of the buildings stood out in a world of greens and greys.

On my way to the Tierra del Fuego traveling along the mythical Carretera Austral we crossed a lavish stone and rock desert. The grey sky with its threatening clouds contrasted against the golden landscape and I could not resist the desire to walk alone under the infinite magnificent sky It was simply awesome!

In Usuhaia I took a trip on the ship Barracuda through the Beagle Channel. During the trip we passed close by the Les Eclaireus lighthouse that shines out over the Atlantic and Pacific oceans and is the said to be the last piece of civilization that travelers see on their way to Antarctica.
